Typewriter aims to rewrite the genome sentence by sentence using targeted primed reverse transcription process (TPRT) mediated by through  R2 non-LTR Retrotransposons to deliver full genes in vivo. The use of R2 retrotransposons may overcome the challenges of current gene therapies by increasing  efficiency, safety and tolerability.
